When I was asked (by a woman named Pilar. Lovely lady, by the way) what color I wanted my thought process went something like this:
"Hmm... I like rainbows. Rainbows are pretty. GAH I CAN'T BE INDECISIVE. UMMM. I'LL BE IMPULSIVE AND SAY ORANGE. Yeah, I like orange. Orange is one of my favorite colours!"
It wasn't until she had started putting the orange band things on that I realized that it's almost Halloween.
Now I have Halloween braces.
Oh joy.
It seems very surreal that I'm getting braces now, though.
It's always been something that other people had and something in the future.
Not here.
Not now.
But now it's here and now.
